• Trees for Suffield Exhibition Opening

    The Suffield Tree Committee, the Town of Suffield, and the Suffield Garden Club worked together to establish the Trees for Suffield Initiative to provide residents a tree canopy for generations to come. Following the opening reception to celebrate this vital initiative for Suffield’s present and future, winning submissions from the 2023-2024 Trees for Suffield Photo Contest will be on display from May 4–October 13, 2024.

Each spring, the stunning variety of lilacs curated by Caroline Ferriday and her mother scent the gardens and show off their fleeting blossoms in shades of purples, pinks, and even whites. Tour the gardens to learn about the long history of the lilacs on the property and how we care for them. This event is exclusive to CTL Members.

  • Members’ Opening Reception: Scott Rhoades’ Scenic New England

    Nathan Hale Homestead 2299 South St, Coventry, CT, United States

    Experience the work of artist and art instructor Scott Rhoades. Raised in Coventry, Rhoades’ work has been published in several magazines and his school mural program was nationally recognized. He will receive a first-place prize from Marlborough Arts Center for the painting pictured above, which also won the 2024 Painting Award at the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. Stop by on Sundays in August to visit Rhoades, who will be onsite working on his latest artwork and answering questions.
