Get into the spirit of the season and meet the ghosts of New Londoners who have ghoulish stories to tell—talk with them if you dare! Experience the city’s oldest house at twilight, be transported back in time with spooky historic tales told by storyteller Carolyn Stearns, and make s’mores over an open fire. Visitors will also have the opportunity to paint a rock to help create the Hempsted Houses’ Freedom Garden!

Admission is FREE, with a suggested donation of $5 per person to support programming at the Hempsted Houses. Advance registration available, but walk-ins are welcome!

Participants are welcome to come in costume. Please refrain from extreme gore, masks that cover the whole face or head, tripping hazards, or using cultural identities as costumes. Please dress for the weather as parts of this program take place outdoors. In case of cancellation due to severe weather, registrants will be notified at the email address on file.

If you have any questions, please contact Site Administrator Lynette Fisher at hempsted.houses@ctlandmarks.org or call (860) 443-7949.

Supported in part by: The Frank Loomis Palmer Fund, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee; the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut; and the Chelsea Groton Foundation, Inc.
