The Property

The Nathan Hale Homestead is the birthplace of Connecticut’s State Hero, Nathan Hale. The house, built in 1776, belonged to Nathan’s parents and family, and is the only site he ever called home. Its colonial period furnishings include several Hale family possessions. The property features an 18th-century English Barn with rare gunstock timber framing, a 19th-century Dairy Barn and open pastures surrounded by stone walls and forest.

Facility rentals are available April to November.
The historic house and barn serve as a backdrop to an expansive green space that may be tented to accommodate up to 250 people.
The historic English & Dairy Barns have been newly restored & are now available to rent.
The Dairy Barn is equipped with a catering and bar station.
The English Barn seats 50 people.
