The Property

The Nathan Hale Homestead is the birthplace of Connecticut’s State Hero, Nathan Hale. The house, built in 1776, belonged to Nathan’s parents and family, and is the only site he ever called home. Its colonial period furnishings include several Hale family possessions. The property features an 18th-century English Barn with rare gunstock timber framing, a 19th-century Dairy Barn and open pastures surrounded by stone walls and forest.

The historic house and barn serve as a backdrop to an expansive green space that may be tented to accommodate up to 250 people. The Dairy Barn is equipped with a catering and bar station. The English Barn seats 50 people.

Facility rentals are available May to October.
