SUMMARY:Holiday Lantern Tour: Suffield's Main Street
DESCRIPTION:Now an annual tradition\, the Phelps-Hatheway Holiday Walking Tours return to close America’s 250th celebration with newly uncovered stories of our place in the emerging nation. Join our costumed guides as they transport guests to the time before electricity illuminated our homes to see the “grand dames” of this historic thoroughfare festively lit and decorated to celebrate the season. During the walk\, you’ll gain insight into the dominant architectural styles of the historic district and hear tales of those who worked the land and supported the community throughout the ages. \nBuy Tickets\nChildren are especially welcome to participate in the easy 1-mile journey\, as this walk will contain more sparkle than darkness and is suitable for even our youngest visitors. \n\nPlease dress for the weather as this event takes place outdoors. If you have a flashlight or lantern\, please bring it to help light our way! \nCTL Members\, please sign in to our ticketing system to access your benefits. \nIf you have any questions\, please email phelps.hatheway@ctlandmarks.org or call 860-668-0055.
