He has performed at venues throughout the Tri-State area and focuses on the musical space between Hip-Hop and Jazz. He has worked with artists such as Matt Dwonzsyk\, The Lost Tribe\, Cappadonna\, Self Suffice\, Michael Pallas and other artists throughout New York and Connecticut.   \nGhazi’s last release is titled “Lavender” and can be found on all major streaming platforms. Over a 70-year period\, Eliza Ferriday and her daughter\, Caroline\, created a garden showcasing their love of roses\, lilacs and peonies. Today\, the garden is maintained by staff. Bellamy-Ferriday joined CT Historic Gardens in 2004 as a founding member. Matt Parker \nKicking off our concert season will be the exuberant sounds of Tubby\, long-time project of Matt Parker. Paying tribute to the rich jazz heritage of New Orleans\, especially the many talented sax players to come from that city\, Tubby celebrates and shares this joyful tradition. After seeing trumpeter Maynard Ferguson in concert\, he fell in love with jazz and was mentored by the legendary South Florida saxophonist Jimmy Cavallo. Parker played professionally as a teenager in New Orleans before moving to New York to study with Jane Ira Bloom\, Barry Harris\, and Junior Mance. Join us to stitch history together – no experience required! \nAmerica’s Tapestry is a nationwide community project featuring 13 hand-embroidered panels\, one for each of the original colonies\, depicting diverse stories from the American Revolution. Each panel is crafted by volunteers from New Hampshire to Georgia\, and visitors are invited to contribute their own stitches to the Connecticut panel. All materials will be provided! \nThe Connecticut panel highlights the story of Hannah Bunce Watson\, the first female publisher of the Connecticut Courant (now the Hartford Courant). After the passing of her husband\, Hannah\, who lived just a stone’s throw from the Butler-McCook House & Garden\, joined forces with Sarah Butler to keep the newspaper in print\, offering timely and encouraging source of news to patriot readers. \nRegistration is not required for the stitching event. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will move indoors to the Amos Bull Community Room. \nFeatured Performers: Steve Bulmer’s Hall Monitors \nThe Hall Monitors\, a group of top-notch jazz musicians brought together through our love of playing\, composing\, arranging\, AND teaching\, currently consists of Steven Bulmer on bass\, Jen Allen on piano\, Matt Parker on saxes and flute\, Nathan Edwards on saxes and Ben Bilello on drums.\nThe group performs a variety of intense jazz styles and includes innovative originals in their programs along with original treatments of not-so-standard jazz classics and tributes to jazz legacies such as Harold Mabern\, Phil Woods\, Roy Hargrove and Benny Golson. It features a classic piano-bass-drums rhythm section with two innovative and complementary saxophonists. \nThe Amos Bull and Butler-McCook Houses will also celebrate featured artist exhibitions of Frank Poulin and Andy Hart. \nRegister Now\n\nSponsored by: the Richard P. His sisters\, Julia and Charlotte\, lived in the house until their deaths in the 1970s as urban renewal claimed many of the houses in the once-grand neighborhood. His latest album\, Bianca Reimagined: Music for Paws and Persistence (2024)\, featuring Nicole Zuraitis\, won the 2025 GRAMMY® Award for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album. Additionally\, he was the featured drummer on the 2024 GRAMMY® Award-winning album How Love Begins\, co-produced by Nicole Zuraitis and Christian McBride. In case of inclement weather\, the concert will move indoors to the Amos Bull Community Room. \nFeatured Performers: Nigel Bello and Friends \nNigel Bello is an 18-year-old trombonist from Hartford\, CT.  His father\, Nelson\, introduced him to the trombone at the age of 6 and he has been playing for the past 13 years. Nigel has studied with Steve Davis\, Dr. Emmett Goods\, and Hommy Ramos. He has shared the stage with musicians such as Zaccai and Luques Curtis\, Nat Reeves\, Gary Bartz\, and Steve Davis. In 2023\, he traveled to France with the New Jersey Youth Symphony’s Jazz Orchestra as their second-chair trombone. Nigel has also played in many professional settings\, such as opening the Paul Brown Monday Night Jazz Series and the Greater Hartford Jazz Festival\, as well as accompanying musicians such as Michael Stuart\, Frankie Ruiz Jr.\, Johnny Rivera\, Nino Segarra\, and many others. He now attends Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship\, continuing his musical journey. \nNigel Bello and Friends includes: Nigel Bello-trombone\, Felipe Fournier-vibes\, Luis Quintero-percussion\, Zaccai Curtis-piano\, Nathan Edwards-tenor sax\, Nelson Bello-percussion\, Luques Curtis bass \nThe Amos Bull and Butler-McCook Houses will also celebrate featured artist exhibitions of Luis Cotto and Emma Chadwick. \nRegister Now\n\nSponsored by: the Richard P.
