SUMMARY:Seasons of Change Art Exhibit: Laurie Tavino and Ray Pioggia
DESCRIPTION:Stop into Phelps-Hatheway’s Visitor Center for the Seasons of Change art exhibition by Laurie Tavino and Ray Pioggia. In this exhibit\, photographic and hand-rendered images in color and monochrome depict scenes and themes from locations throughout Suffield – a number of which are views that no longer exist. \nWe invite you to join us for the exhibit’s opening reception on Friday\, May 1\, from 5 pm–7 pm in the Visitor’s Center. Laurie and Ray will be on site to answer questions as you gather with friends and neighbors to take in the beauty of this special offering. \nThe exhibit will be open during the property’s regular open hours this season through November 1. People who can trace their ancestry to the Coventry Hales and those interested in Hale family genealogy are invited to revisit the family homestead. Learn about the branches of the Hale family tree\, understand genealogical resources available\, connect with other descendants\, and tour the home that Richard Hale and Elizabeth Strong Hale built for their family. After a communal lunch with music and games\, visit the Coventry Town Green where the Hales mustered out for the American Revolution\, the location of the church where Richard and John were deacons\, the site of Elizabeth Hale Rose’s home\, and the cemetery where Hale family members rest. \nRegister Now\nTickets are $40 for Adults and $20 for Children Under 18.
