DESCRIPTION:Hello\, Spring! Phelps-Hatheway House and Garden is pleased to host Suffield Garden Club’s 45th Annual May Market. The 1867 Hatheway Barn and adjacent lawn will be filled with friendly and knowledgeable vendors and town committees offering exquisite wares and gardening tips for everyone! Inside the museum\, Phelps-Hatheway staff will offer a special garden-themed tour. A scavenger hunt in the garden and horticultural activities in the Visitor’s Center will round out this special day.  \nVisiting the market\, garden\, or visitor’s center is free. DESCRIPTION:Expand your knowledge of Hartford’s architectural treasures beyond Main Street\, as we venture to the east of Main Street to appreciate the history along South Prospect beginning with the 1788 Amos Bull House\, the Hartford Times Building\, BPO Elks\, and the Hartford Club\, as well as to the west of Main Street\, including Gold and Elm Streets. \nRegister Now\n\nThis program is part of our Historic Hartford Walking Tours series\, where we forge new paths through Hartford’s history! Register for additional walks here. \nPlease wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather\, as this program will take place outdoors. In case of severe weather\, the program will proceed at 10:00 am on Saturday\, May 27.
